Mission bell is an F1 hybrid suitable for vegetable production and container growing. Historically, the variety was recommended for cultivation in the northern regions of the USA.
In agronomic research, the variety is actively used in experiments with grafting onto various rootstocks to evaluate productivity in protected cultivation. Despite mentions of resistance to a number of diseases, under certain growing conditions it shows susceptibility to soil-borne pathogens, including bacterial stem rot.
