The line was obtained through interspecific crossing of cultivated eggplant with Solanum anguivi followed by repeated self-pollination and selection. The plant is characterized by an indeterminate growth type and compact size, making it convenient for cultivation in phytotron conditions and limited space.
The development cycle of the line includes the onset of flowering approximately 57.2 days after transplanting and reaching physiological maturity of fruits after 114.7 days. The line is capable of completing up to three full growth cycles per year, which allows it to be used as a model object for genetic and physiological studies.
