The variety is a phytosanitary plant used for cleaning soil of nematodes before planting agricultural crops. Its mechanism of action consists of provoking the hatching of parasite larvae, such as Globodera pallida, G. rostochiensis, and Meloidogyne spp., followed by the prevention of their full development.
The plant is an herbaceous crop with spines on the stems and leaves, white or purple flowers, and red fruits. The variety demonstrates low susceptibility to late blight compared to potatoes and confirmed resistance to a number of nematode species. The crop is not intended for human consumption due to a high content of toxic steroidal glycoalkaloids.
