The variety is used as a rootstock for grafting eggplant (Solanum melongena). It possesses a powerful root system that ensures good compatibility with cultivated varieties and increased plant growth vigor.

The rootstock has high resistance to bacterial wilt (Ralstonia solanacearum), Verticillium wilt (Verticillium spp.) and Fusarium wilt (Fusarium oxysporum), as well as intermediate resistance to nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.). Grafted plants demonstrate increased adaptability to low temperatures and temperature fluctuations.

Seeds are characterized by germination up to 95% when using pre-germination. Under agronomic conditions, plant development is regulated by grafting, although in nature the species is a shrub up to 2–5 meters tall.
