Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a cross product of Desiree and Cara. The plants are characterized as tall and vigorous. The medium to large tubers have an elongated-oval shape, smooth bright red skin, white flesh, and shallow surface eyes.

The potato is distinguished by very high yield and tuber uniformity. The dry matter content is about 18%. The variety is suitable for boiling, baking, and industrial processing into french fries, and also possesses good ability for long-term storage.

The variety shows field immunity to PVX virus and high resistance to PVY virus. It is moderately resistant to common scab and Rhizoctonia. It has low susceptibility to late blight of foliage with sufficient resistance to late blight of tubers, however, it has some susceptibility to black scurf.
