The variety belongs to the mid-early maturity group. The plant is tall, erect, of the stem type with dark green lanceolate leaves and dark reddish-violet flowers. Tubers are round-oval in shape, medium or large in size, have pink skin and superficial eyes.
The variety possesses immunity to potato virus Y, is resistant to leaf roll and common scab, however is susceptible to late blight of the foliage. Yield is high, although a predominance of the small tuber fraction may be observed on heavy soils.
The potato is a table variety, suitable for boiling and frying. Contains a high percentage of starch. Upon heat treatment, the flesh may acquire a grayish tint.
