The variety belongs to the early or early main maturity group. The tubers have white skin and white flesh. The variety is considered general-purpose, suitable for the fresh market and potentially suitable for the production of French fries.
The main breeding feature is high resistance to all known populations of potato cyst nematode, including Globodera pallida and G. rostochiensis. The pedigree of the variety included lines V394, G20, the variety Maris Piper, and forms of Solanum tuberosum ssp. andigena.
