The plant of the Korona variety reaches medium or high height, has a semi-upright bush of intermediate or leaf type. Eyes on tubers are shallow or medium. Starch content in tubers ranges from 13.2 to 15.6%, the variety belongs to culinary type AB. Keeping quality of the harvest during storage is about 95%.

The variety possesses resistance to potato wart pathotype I. At the same time, it is susceptible to late blight of foliage and tubers, as well as to the golden potato cyst nematode.
