The variety was obtained by crossing Ackersegen and the hybrid Olympia × BF 15. In terms of maturity, it is classified as mid-late. It is described as a hardy variety with good resistance to late blight, similar in type to the Ackersegen variety.

The variety was present in the French catalog until 1992. Subsequently, breeding was discontinued due to phytosanitary problems encountered during the propagation of material in Brittany and Northern Ireland.
