Tubers of the Reet variety have an oval, slightly flattened shape, smooth yellow skin, and shallow eyes. The flesh is light yellow in color and not prone to darkening. The variety belongs to culinary type BC and has a medium to high dry matter content.
The low reducing sugar content allows the variety to be used for the production of chips and french fries. Reet exhibits resistance to potato wart, golden potato cyst nematode, late blight of leaves, as well as low susceptibility to common scab and viral infections.
