The variety was obtained by crossing the Certa and Pirola varieties. The plant forms robust, well-foliaged haulms. Tubers have a round or round-oval shape, medium size, red skin, and cream-colored flesh. 10–13 tubers are formed per plant.
The variety is characterized by high yield potential and a high starch content within the range of 23–25%. It possesses high resistance to late blight of haulms and tubers, potato virus Y, potato cyst nematodes of pathotype Ro1, and potato wart disease pathotype 1. Resistance to common scab is medium.
The variety has stable keeping quality. Due to the late maturity, when grown on heavy soils, it is necessary to consider the length of the growing season and apply a protection strategy against late blight and early blight.
