The variety is a multiline population selected from samples collected in the White Carpathians region. The plants are characterized by relatively high height and a thin stem. Due to early maturity and early heading, the variety is adapted to the climatic conditions of Central Europe, which allows for late sowing to avoid spring frosts.
The plant possesses high drought tolerance and relative resistance to low temperatures. The content of dhurrin in the tissues provides a phytosanitary effect when the biomass is tilled into the soil, acting as a fumigant against pathogens and nematodes. The variety is suitable for cultivation in organic farming with minimal chemical intervention.
The thousand kernel weight is about 17 g. The grain is suitable for use in the food industry, including flour production after the removal of tannins, and in brewing. The variety is multifunctional: it is used for grain production, silage and fodder mix production, and as raw material for biogas plants.
