The variety is a technical crop created by directed selection from a Hungarian collection sample. Breeding focused on earliness, thin stems, and technical suitability of the panicles.

The plant possesses high manufacturability for broom production due to the elasticity of the fibers and the absence of a central rachis in the panicle. The variety is not intended for food grain production or forage purposes.
