The Sweet Betty sorghum hybrid reaches a height of up to 3 meters and possesses broad leaves. The plant's stems are characterized by a juicy and sweet pith, which ensures high energy value of the harvested silage.

The variety is classified as late-maturing with a period from emergence to flowering of about 90 days, however, depending on growing conditions, it can show signs of a mid-season maturity with a period to heading of 65–68 days.
