Seedlings of the variety have a green color; when grown under cool spring conditions, the appearance of anthocyanin coloration is possible. The plants are noted for intensive initial development.
The variety was developed through the crossing of collection samples followed by individual selection for early maturity. The main purpose is the production of panicles for technical purposes; the use of grain for farm needs is also permitted.
