The variety is classified as broom sorghum. Its inflorescences possess thin, flexible, and strong fibers suitable for manual and industrial processing. The plant also produces medium-sized grain with a reddish-brown hue, used as feed.

The plant is thermophilic and possesses good drought tolerance. The quality of the panicle fibers depends on the soil type: they are thinner on sandy soils and coarser on cohesive and heavy soils. Cultivation on medium-heavy soils with a pH of 6.0–7.5 is recommended, with irrigation provided during the panicle formation and flowering periods.
