The variety belongs to industrial crops used for the manufacture of brooms and whisks. In breeding practice, it is known as source material that was widely used in production for a long time.

The plant belongs to FAO maturity groups 100–200. In comparative studies, the variety demonstrated high productivity, including seed weight indicators in the panicle of up to 47.7 g. At present, the variety is considered historical, having given way to modern genotypes.
