The ABF306 object is considered among a series of sorghum breeding lines within the framework of research work on studying water use efficiency and bioenergy potential. It is not a generally accepted variety of sudangrass and is not registered as a commercial variety.

The hybrid is being studied as a promising candidate for biomass production under arid Mediterranean climate conditions. Scientific data indicate the hybrid's response to sowing density: under conditions of sufficient moisture, an increase in plant stand density leads to an increase in biomass productivity.
