The hybrid belongs to the BMR-6 (brown midrib) category, which ensures a 40–60% reduction in stem lignin content compared to conventional hybrids, improving forage palatability and digestibility to 74–82%. The plant is a short-day crop and does not flower under the conditions of the Russian Federation, which allows harvesting to be extended until frost.
Plant height at the first cut varies from 0.8–1.0 m to 1.2–1.4 m. The hybrid is characterized by resistance to lodging, drought, and high temperatures, and is tolerant to high soil pH levels. Protein content is 8–17%, and sugar content is up to 18% or 150–220 g/kg.
The crop is used for producing hay, haylage, silage, livestock grazing, and green fodder. It is recommended as an alternative to corn silage or as a component in binary cropping.
