The El Asya variety is an Asian-type hybrid intended for cultivation in the open field. The plant has an upright rosette habit, which facilitates mechanized harvesting, and dark green leaves.

The variety is distinguished by a high growth rate and is adapted primarily for the winter market, although planting in the autumn-spring period is possible. The plant is characterized by complex disease resistance, in particular to downy mildew (up to race 20), as well as resistance to bolting.
