The El Salvatore variety is a first-generation hybrid. During comparative field trials, the variety was classified as one of the most efficient hybrids in terms of yield indicators.

Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by the dark green color of the leaf blade. The plants are characterized by the accumulation of anthocyanin pigment in the leaves.
