Longhorn spinach is of the semi-savoy type with an upright habit. The plant's leaves are thick, round-oval in shape, have a slightly savoyed texture, and are medium to dark green in color. The presence of a medium or long stem facilitates harvesting.

The plant is fast-growing and intended for cultivation in the open field. The variety has intermediate resistance to spinach downy mildew (Peronospora effusa), including races 17 and 18.
