The variety is intended for cultivation in the autumn, winter and spring periods in the baby leaf segment. The plant forms upright-positioned dark leaves with stems of moderate length.

The variety possesses high resistance to downy mildew (races 1–14, 16–19) and intermediate resistance to race 15. It also exhibits a high degree of resistance to the fungal disease Stemphylium vesicarium.
