Polydane F1 is an upright plant with round-oval dark green smooth leaves. The variety is characterized by slow growth, which ensures high resistance to premature bolting, allowing sowing in the spring, summer, and autumn periods.

The plant possesses genetic resistance to downy mildew (Peronospora farinosa f. sp. spinaciae), including races 1–4, and according to a number of data, up to race 6. Due to its morphological characteristics, the variety is suitable both for the fresh market and for industrial processing, including canning.
