The variety Synstokhar, marketed under the trade name Blue Frills, is an evergreen or semi-evergreen herbaceous plant with a basal rosette of leaves. The plant height reaches 40 cm.
Flowering occurs from summer to autumn with flowers resembling cornflowers. The variety requires well-drained soils, is sensitive to waterlogging in the winter period, and possesses drought tolerance after establishment. It is used in landscape design to attract bees and butterflies.
