The variety is the result of crossing two breeding lines: John Innes hybrids, which provided compactness and flowering under low-light conditions, and Wismar hybrids, which endowed the plant with large flowers.

The plant belongs to decorative indoor crops. The variety's flowers reach 5–7 cm in diameter, which significantly exceeds the metrics of many natural Streptocarpus species.
