Variety description

The plant forms basal rosettes of large oblong-elliptic leaves. The upper part of the leaf blade is covered with a variegated pattern, while the underside has a rich pink, burgundy, or dark red color. In indoor conditions, the plant height reaches 60–90 cm. The variety possesses the ability for nyctinasty, where the leaves rise and fold in the evening.
The plant is an ornamental culture for indoor floriculture; in warm climates, it is applicable in landscape design. The culture is demanding of conditions: a stable temperature of 18–27°C, high air humidity of at least 60%, and diffused lighting are required. Infestations by spider mites and mealybugs are possible, as well as the development of root and stem rots if the irrigation regime is disrupted.
