The shrub belongs to the Doorenbosii group of Symphoricarpos and has a well-branched crown shape. The plant's foliage is green and deciduous. Small flowers, colored in shades ranging from pink to white, appear in late spring or early summer.

The plant forms dense clusters of large berries up to 15 mm in diameter. Fruit ripening occurs in early autumn. The variety is adapted to hardiness zones 3–8 and has resistance to growing conditions, although it may be susceptible to powdery mildew.
