The plant has a narrow conical, very dense crown shape. The height of an adult specimen reaches 4–5 meters, the width is about 1 meter, although some descriptions contain data on a height of 3–4 meters. The main distinctive feature is numerous bright yellow spots on the needles.
The variety is used in ornamental gardening for creating hedges, trellises, and as a specimen plant. The plant is characterized by good winter hardiness, prefers sunny locations, but is capable of tolerating light shading.
