The variety has an erect growth habit and forms branched stems 45–60 cm tall. It is a soft-seeded multi-cut variety, providing the possibility of obtaining several cycles of hay or grazing during the season.

The plant possesses tolerance to clover scorch and resistance to root rots caused by Pythium and Phytophthora. The variety develops effectively on heavy soils and is suitable for use under irrigation or sufficient moisture conditions.

Used as an annual fodder crop for livestock grazing, hay harvesting, as a green manure, and as a component of mixtures for planting to attract wildlife.
