The variety is tetraploid and belongs to the late maturity group. It was developed within breeding programs for northern regions with the goal of creating populations capable of adapting to specific climatic conditions and effectively resisting fungal infections, in particular Fusarium nivale and Sclerotinia borealis.
During studies, the variety was considered as a component of grass mixtures with timothy and fescue. Research was also conducted on its genetic diversity, resistance to a range of pathogens, and the efficiency of symbiotic nitrogen fixation.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
