The variety is diploid (2n) and has a genetic basis formed predominantly of 75% selection material from the ILVO institute obtained before 1970, with the possible inclusion of Swiss local forms.

Within the framework of variety trials, the variety demonstrated resistance to powdery mildew at a level of 9 points and to Sclerotinia at a level of 7 points on a nine-point scale. The plant persistence or longevity indicator was also rated at 7 points.
