The variety was obtained as a result of selection from a Mediterranean clover population collected in France. According to the classification, the variety belongs to the large-leaved plant group. It was initially intended for use in pastures and grass mixtures.

The variety demonstrated high forage yield rates. Research studies examined its mechanisms of adaptation to drought, including the response of stomata and photosynthetic activity to water deficit, as well as the effect of potassium fertilizers on this process.

Due to low seed production capacity, the variety was excluded from commercial use, however, its genetic material was used in further breeding programs.
