The variety is intended for forage purposes and is characterized by increased tolerance to livestock grazing. The plant is well-adapted for use in mixed stands with forage grasses, such as tall fescue or orchardgrass.

As part of agronomic trials, the variety was evaluated for productivity under constant grazing pressure and resistance to a number of pests and pathogens, including root rots and the potato leafhopper.
