The variety was bred at the Priekuli Breeding Station and registered in international gene banks under the code LVA 84 as an improved variety. In the GRIN-Global classification, it is assigned to the giant white clover subspecies.
It is used as a forage crop. In scientific studies, the variety is examined as part of grass mixtures with cereals to evaluate productivity, longevity, and crude protein content under grazing or mowing. The variety is adapted to the sod-calcareous and sod-podzolic soils of Latvia.
