The variety Steinacher Weissklee is a white clover intended for forage purposes. The plant is characterized by elongated stems, which allows it to be classified in the group var. giganteum, and it demonstrates active growth during the vegetation period.
Morphologically, the variety is distinguished by the almost complete absence of white markings on the leaf blades. In European breeding research, the variety has been used as a reference when evaluating resistance to root-knot nematodes.
