The variety belongs to the large-leaved clover category, although in some documents its leaf size is classified as medium or large. It is intended primarily for agricultural use in grazing systems, including co-seeding with ryegrass for livestock grazing.

The genetic basis of the variety was formed within a joint breeding program started in 1991. The variety underwent variety trials and was included in national lists in France, and it also participated in British and French agronomic research, particularly in the context of nitrogen fixation.
