The Tooma variety is characterized by good winter hardiness and longevity. It shows increased stability when grown in mixed sowings with perennial grasses.
On loamy soils, the variety shows high productivity: hay yield is two times higher, and seed yield is 13.8% higher than that of the Jõgeva 4 variety. Observations confirm a good level of resistance to clover rot.
