The Trisett 51 variety is used in agricultural practice primarily in mountainous and alpine regions. It is used as a forage crop, but due to the presence of calcitriol, which can cause calcinosis in animals, it is recommended to be sown in mixtures so that the share of the plant in the sward does not exceed 15%.
The variety is a standard for testing new breeding achievements of golden oat-grass. In specialized literature, it is often referred to as Trisett and is included in official catalogs of recommended forage varieties.
The variety is listed in the national registry — its seeds are authorized for sale in this country.
