The Diwann variety, also known by the breeding number S 2159, appears in a number of scientific papers devoted to the analysis of glutenin and secalin proteins. In these studies, it is considered as one of the germplasm samples for the study of the biochemical composition of the crop.
Agronomic characteristics of the variety, including yield indicators, plant height, maturity group, or resistance to diseases and lodging, are not described in available publications. The variety did not gain wide distribution and was excluded from official registers in 2010.
