The variety is intended for integrated use in livestock farming: it is used as green fodder or for grazing during periods of pasture scarcity, followed by grain harvesting. The plant is characterized by mid-late heading and ripening dates.
The features of the variety are a short dormancy period and high regeneration capacity after mowing or grazing. The variety is adapted to the semi-arid Mediterranean climate and is resistant to Hessian flies of the genus Mayetiola.
The green mass of the variety during the grazing phase contains 20–24% protein. The variety is capable of producing an acceptable grain yield after the vegetative mass has been used for livestock feed.
