The spring soft red wheat variety «Ada» is intended for cultivation in the conditions of the northern US states. The variety has been actively used in breeding work as a parental form, in particular in the development of the «Linkert» variety.
This variety possesses resistance to a number of North American stem rust races, as well as to the pathogen Puccinia graminis f. sp. tritici, including race Ug99.
