The name Cassiopeia is used for several independent varieties, including the variety bred by Sejet Planteforædling, the variety Cassiopeia KWS, and the variety Cassiopeia CL. These varieties are independent and must not be confused during identification.

In scientific studies analyzing the stability of protein accumulation in winter wheat grain, the Cassiopeia variety from Sejet Planteforædling demonstrated protein content levels in the range of 13.7–14%. Detailed agronomic descriptions and morphological characteristics of the variety are absent in open publications.
