The Coronation variety belongs to winter soft wheats. During the variety testing period of the early 2010s, it was classified as feed wheat, included in the 4th group.
The plant is characterized by the presence of awns and a white ear. The yield level of the variety during the period of its active mention in trials was comparable to a number of other varieties of that time, such as Oakley.
