The FENIKS variety belongs to soft winter wheat. Its development was aimed at creating a base for subsequent breeding achievements, and it was used as genetic material in the breeding of new varieties, such as Bc Mandica.
In scientific literature, this variety is most often mentioned in the context of genetic studies and analysis of allelic diversity of Croatian wheat varieties. Detailed agronomic characteristics and grain quality indicators of the variety are presented to a limited extent in open databases.
