Kolonia belongs to the medium-early maturity group with a vegetation period of 265–285 days. The plants are medium-height, ranging from 70 to 85 cm, and demonstrate high lodging resistance and good regenerative capacity.
The variety possesses high resistance to Fusarium head blight, powdery mildew, Septoria, eyespot, and rust species. The grain is characterized by a thousand kernel weight of up to 50 g and a protein content of 13–14%, ensuring good baking properties.
The variety is plastic and adapts to various growing conditions. Recommended for intensive technologies where yields can reach 13 t/ha with a seeding rate of 3.5–5.0 million viable seeds per hectare.
