The variety is a spring crop, belonging to the category of standard height to semi-dwarf type plants. Maturity ranges from early to medium-late. The straw has medium strength, which provides medium resistance to lodging.

The plant is resistant to stem rust and leaf rust, although it may show susceptibility to new races of the latter. The level of resistance to Fusarium head blight is rated as moderately resistant or moderately susceptible.
