Variety description

10 August 2026

The Trident variety is a medium-height, early-maturing plant. It possesses high adaptability to adverse climatic conditions, demonstrating efficient water use during periods of water stress.

In agronomic and breeding practice, the variety is often used as an object for studying genetic resistance to various types of rust, in particular for the analysis of the Sr38 gene. It is also used for mapping quantitative traits determining yield under the conditions of southern Australia.
