The WOODSTOCK variety was used in breeding programs to improve disease resistance, particularly to Septoria tritici blotch. It is included in the pedigree of a number of later wheat varieties, including the Alchemy variety.
Public agronomic publications lack data on the morphological traits of the variety, such as plant height or maturity dates. The variety was included in studies on grain quality and phytopathological resistance assessment in the United Kingdom.
