The variety was bred using doubled haploid methods followed by line selection. During production trials in Spain, the variety showed high tolerance to Septoria and moderate resistance to powdery mildew, while sensitivity to brown rust was noted.

Currently, the status of the variety in the official European Union catalogue of agricultural plant species has been changed to deleted, which indicates the cessation of its active commercial use.
